This monitor was engineered and manufactured as a team effort between KORG and Boston Acoustics to create the ultimate in very low distortion and accurate sonic reproduction at an affordable cost. 

The RM8 reference studio monitor is a ported design with a 7-inch woofer and 1-inch Kortec dome tweeter.  The MDF cabinet and "window pane bracing" eliminate unwanted box resonance, while a flared port reduces audible port turbulence at high volumes.  The RM8 is magnetically shielded.  It registers 8 Ohms.
